Hospital named after UAE President

Moroni: President of the Comoros Islands, Dr Ikililou Dhoinine has named a hospital, built by the Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation in the Comoros capital city, Moroni, after President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. President Dhoinine said that President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, deserve more respect and appreciation from Comoros' President, government and people on supporting his country, citing the hospital, which is the first specialised one established on the island. He told Emirates News Agency (WAM) in a statement that "I and the people of Comoros will remember with pride and appreciation the UAE and its founding father late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa for their generous gesture.'' He also pointed out that late Sheikh Zayed had built a similar hospital in Moroni. It was constructed by The Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation. Dhoinine also extended thanks to H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, for his interest in building the cutting-edge and sophisticated hospital in Comoros Island, and the first of its kind in the area. Dhoinine added that the hospital would provide better medical care to people of Comoros, who used to travel abroad. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
