Hotline launched for Thais seeking legal assistance

BANGKOK, August 25 (TNA) - Thailand's Rights and Liberty Protection Department, under the Ministry of Justice, has set up a hotline, 1111 ext 77, to accept inquiries and complaints from people seeking legal assistance by the government. The department has set up four service lines for the hotline number since June 2012, operating on weekdays during 08.30-20.30 hrs. The initial service has received some 700 calls so far seeking inquires, legal information, as well as financial and other support for those affected by criminal acts. (TNA)
