Housing Minister meets Chinese Commerce Vice Minister

Beijing, Apr 23 (BNA) – Minister of Housing, Eng. Bassem bin Yacoub Al-Hammer, and the accompanying delegation, today met Vice Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, Li Jinzao, in the presence of Bahrain's Ambassador to China, Dr. Anwar Yusuf. The meeting concluded the Bahraini delegation's official visit to China that aimed to promote cooperation between the two sides in the area of the implementation of social housing projects in Bahrain. The parties also discussed ways to support the participation of Chinese construction companies in the execution of Housing Ministry's social housing projects to meet the housing requests of citizens of limited income. Housing Minister praised the expertise and reputation of Chinese construction companies, which have qualified them to execute construction projects in many countries of the world. He underscored Bahrain's enthusiasm to have the housing projects executed and hailed the Chinese Commerce Ministry's support provided to activate Bahraini-Chinese cooperation. Chinese Commerce Vice Minister highlighted his country's keenness to activate cooperation with Bahrain, as agreed on during the recent Royal visit to China. MJ
