HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with Vice President, Worldwide Public Sector and Industries, Amazon Web Services

Manama, Feb. 8 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today held a remote meeting with Mrs. Teresa Carlson, Vice President, Worldwide Public Sector and Industries at Amazon Web Services (AWS). During the meeting, His Royal Highness recognised the impact strategic public-private partnerships have had on advancing innovation capabilities and technological solutions, especially in regard to the increase in efficiency and delivery of government services made possible by harnessing the power of digital technology and cloud computing. His Royal Highness stressed the Kingdom is committed to developing its ICT sector, and fully recognises the impact digital infrastructure transformation has on economic growth and sustainable development, as well as the long-term impact of nurturing skilled Bahraini’s contributing to this growing, vital sector. For her part, Mrs. Teresa Carlson expressed her appreciation for His Royal Highness's dedication to exploring new avenues for public-private collaboration and digital transformation. HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, was also in attendance.
