HRH Crown Prince Instructs to Hold Camel's Races in the Near Future in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, Aug 22, 2020, SPA -- His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, instructed to hold a number of camel's races, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), in the near future, including operating, organizing and setting up the relevant tracks' tasks, as well as the related rewards, in keenness of HRH Crown Prince on the well-established sport of camels and their owners and to reflect his attention and interest paid to promote such a historical sport, which is a significant part of the Kingdom's legacy, heritage and culture, through history's epochs. On this occasion, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, extended in his own name and on behalf of all sportsmen, athletes and owners of camels, utmost thanks and appreciation to the HRH Crown Prince, for such a familiar gesture, considered as an extension of the great backup accorded to the Saudi sports, at all levels and activities, reasserting that it is a proof of the interest HRH Crown Prince pays to the camel's sport and camels owners as well, pointing, coincidently, to the spread, distinction and follow-up realized for this sport, a fact that made it among the sports of great appeal, grace of God and the ongoing support. On the other hand, the Saudi Camels' Union will announce its competitions' program for the 2020 and 2021 seasons, which is set to include holding three championships, including Ministry of Sport's Cup, the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee Cup and the Saudi Camel's Union Cup. --SPA
