HRH Crown Prince leads ‘Bike for Dad’

BANGKOK, Oct 22 (TNA) -- HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn will lead the ‘Bike for Dad’ cycling event in Bangkok to celebrate and show gratitude to His Majesty the King on his 88th birthday this December 5, said Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha. Speaking in his capacity as chairman of the ‘Bike for Dad’ cycling event which will be held December 11, Gen Prayut said Wednesday that the event will start at 3pm from the Royal Plaza near Dusit Palace to Chulalongkorn University where HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn will take the first break. From Chulalongkorn University cyclists will head to Phra Racha Wang Derm where cyclists will take the second rest, said Gen. Prayut. The cyclists will then proceed to Siriraj Hospital where His Majesty is currently staying for medical treatment and back to Dusit Palace. Cyclists living in upcountry could celebrate the event by riding bicycles from provincial governor offices to designated points which would cover a total distance of 29 kilometres, starting at 3pm the same time as in the capital, said the prime minister.
