HRH Premier affirms Bahrain’s unabated march

Manama, May 23 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa today affirmed Bahrain’s resolve to pursue the march to attain a better future and keep pace with global progress. In an interview with Egyptian newspaper "Al-Akbar" editing director Osama Ajaj, he pledged to meet all the requirements that Bahrain needs and continue the dedicated march to promote its present and future standing. In the interview, which will be published tomorrow (Sunday), he said that the aim is to reap the dividends of the strenuous efforts he exerted, paying tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. He lauded loyal Bahraini people for standing united with their leaders, affirming confidence in the ability to wither all challenges which may impede the march of development and progress. "We have to dedicate ourselves to consolidate the march and achieve national welfare for citizens to reap the dividends", he said, stressing the crucial importance of security and stability to attain desired goals. The Premier said that the new state budget would focus mainly on the sectors that best consolidate economic growth through providing incentives to the private sector in the trade and investment fields, stressing the vital importance of developing industries, tourism, housing, health, education and the infrastructure. He commended the role of Saudi Arabia in maintaining regional stability and balance, supporting other countries in the Arabian Gulf region, as well as the Arab and Islamic worlds. He commended the wisdom of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, hailing his well-thought approach in dealing with all issues, supporting the Arab and Islamic nations and advocating unity. He said that the current regional situation is but the result of years of tensions and external regional and international interventions in internal affairs to undermine security and stability and impose a hegemon order on the region. "We have long warned against the danger of seditions and sectarian tainted conflicts which only pave the way for other hostile powers preying on the Arab region, all intent on its disintegration and the usurpation of its resources", he said, stressing the need to unite and stave off threats. The Premier said that spreading terror threat has no religious and does not exclude anyone, slamming attempts to use terrorism as pretext to discredit and disparage Islam. He stressed the crucial importance of international cooperation to uproot the scourge of terrorism and rid the world of terror crimes. The Premier commended long-standing solid relations bonding the Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt, stressing keen interest on further enhancing economic cooperation. He underlined the indispensable role of Egypt in maintain regional security and stability.
