HRH Premier chairs high-level security meeting

Manama, Aug. 30 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed the importance of dealing firmly and justly with those tampering with Bahrain's security and stability through bringing them to justice to ensure they get comeuppance and deterrent punishment without delay. We are in a war against terror, terrorists and those who support them, and this requires everybody to expedite procedures to bring suspects to justice to get the punishment they deserve, and sue those behind them, he said. HRH the Prime Minister made the statements as he chaired at the Gudaibiya Palace today a high-level security meeting during which he was informed about the security situation and the pre-emptive measures taken by the security authorities to combat terror and terrorists. Through explosions and criminal practices, terrorists are trying to sow divide, undermine national unity and ignite sectarianism in order to spark sedition, HRH Premier said, urging the security bodies to continue their measures against terrorists, and calling on the citizens to rally together in defending the homeland against the threat of such evil groups. HRH the Premier was briefed on the latest security developments, as well as the efforts being exerted by the security authorities to arrest those implicated in the terror crimes witnessed by the kingdom recently. HRH the Prime Minister was also informed about the judicial procedures being taken by the competent bodies to bring those accused of terror crimes to justice, as well the procedures taken to implement the verdicts issued against terrorists.
