HRH Premier lauds BACA's role

Manama, Aug. 4 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has lauded the role played by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) in preserving the kingdom’s history and civilisation. He also praised BACA’s cultural programmes that contribute to spurring tourism in the country. HRH the Prime Minister asserted that the Kingdom’s participation in mega international exhibitions, such as "Expo Milano" 2015. contributes to highlighting Bahrain’s rich cultural and civilisational heritage, calling for the need to intensify participation in such events, given their crucial role in projecting the kingdom’s civilisational image and multi-faceted successes. He made the remarks as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today a number of Royal Family members and senior state officials, and discussed with them a number of local issues. HRH the Prime Minister expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to BACA President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa for her constant keenness to invest in the kingdom’s rich civilisation and culture and present it to the world in the best way. He also praised her vision on preserving Bahrain’s genuine heritage. Shaikha Mai extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his constant support to BACA, stressing that the Prime Minister’s support has contributed to the success of BACA’s programmes and participations. She briefed HRH the Premier on the distinctive features of the Bahrain’s pavilion at Expo Milano 2015, and the positive response of visitors and media persons on it. She also highlighted the shows to be presented at Bahrain’s pavilion on the day allocated to it –September 4, 2015.
