HRH Premier to patronise "Invest in Bahrain 2015"

Manama, Oct. 8 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry has announced it will organise the "Invest in Bahrain 2015" forum and exhibition, which is the 10th edition of this annual investment forum. "Invest in Bahrain 2015" will be held on November 4, at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre (BIECC) in cooperation with Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Economic Development Board (EDB), Tamkeen, Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting (GOIC), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Federation of GCC Chambers (FGCCC) and Bahrain Development Bank (BDB). The forum provides an excellent platform and space for networking and acquaintance of the industrial climate in the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as an opportunity to interact with important policy makers in the government and the private sector. Presentations on industrial policy, opportunities and incentives to investors and the regulatory environment in the Kingdom will be highlighted in the forum by relevant agencies.? The forum's agenda includes proposals of available investment opportunities prepared by the ministry in the field of knowledge-based industries and the plastics sector, in cooperation with GOIC and the World Bank, as well as investment opportunities provided by Mumtalakat in the telecommunication sector and logistics. Mondelez International (Kraft Foods previously) reviewed its vision about the reality and opportunities of investing in the food industry in Bahrain, in light of its experience in the food industry and recent expansion of its activities in Bahrain International Investment Park. The exhibition to be held on the sidelines of the forum, will be allocated for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), in line with the ministry's vision and strategy at supporting and developing the sector of SMEs. The forum is expected to attract businessmen, businesswomen, investors from Bahrain and GCC and Arab and international economic figures.
