HRH Premier praises GCC leaders' achievements

Manama, May 3 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that the landmark achievements of the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have yielded positive results that are acknowledged by everyone, noting that the progress boom witnessed by GCC countries have become a global role model to be emulated. HRH the Prime Minister asserted that Saudi Arabia is the protective shield of Arab and Islamic nations, stressing that under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia's policies have achieved outstanding success in unifying ranks, and, as a result, the Arab World has become a major power that is reckoned by everyone after it had been open for all kinds of interference by those seeking to spread anarchy and sow discord. HRH Premier made the statements while receiving at the Gudaibiya Palace today GCC Ambassadors to Bahrain, led by Shaikh Azzam Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti Ambassador and Dean of Diplomatic Corps in the Kingdom. The Prime Minister reviewed with the heads of GCC diplomatic missions the latest regional and international developments, calling for the need to back every effort aiming to enhance joint GCC and Arab action. The strong relations between countries of the region and their shared deep-rooted history are enough to launch a strategic partnership between them that strengthens them politically and economically and makes them more capable of influencing the global decision-making process, he said. HRH Premier pointed out that GCC countries complete and support each other within a unified entity –the GCC, affirming that GCC countries are looking forward for more complementarity in order get assured amid the global challenges and conflicts that pose a threat to the GCC development march. HRH Premier reiterated the interest of the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in supporting every effort aiming to consolidate the GCC system and make it more fortified against regional and international challenges, particularly the security and economic ones. The Kuwaiti Ambassador and Dean of Diplomatic Corps extended sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his constant interest in strengthening GCC relations.
