HRH Premier receives ETUF Chairman

Manama, July 10 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today Chairman of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation (ETUF) and the Central Council of the International Confederation of Arab Trade Unions (ICATU) Gebali Mohammed Al-Meraghi. He called to hold on to Islamic principles at international labour gatherings to ensure protection of the workers’ rights. He also urged Arab labour coordination to project labour achievements in the Arab countries worldwide and cast light on the ideal climate provided by the governments to protect the workers’ rights. HRH the Premier lauded deep-rooted fraternal relations between Bahrain and Egypt and their specificity which is based on a long history of mutual understanding. He praised solid and growing cooperation between both countries, pointing out the importance of Egypt as a strategic depth of the Arab countries. He underlined Egypt’s regional and international role and its balanced policy in defending the Arab issues. He also reiterated Bahrain’s support to Egypt, commending the Egyptian stances in supporting Bahrain. HRH the Prime Minister lauded the efforts of Egypt in promoting joint work thanks to its historic status at the Arab and international level. He wished Egypt and its people continuous growth and development under the leadership of Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi. He stressed Bahrain’s keenness to bolster bilateral cooperation, taking pride in solid ties binding both countries. He also underlined the importance of visits and meetings in further consolidating bilateral relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries. He lauded contribution of the Egyptian competencies in various sectors in Bahrain, voicing the kingdom’s appreciation of Egypt’s outstanding contribution to back Bahrain’s efforts mainly in the educational and cultural fields. HRH the Prime Minister praised Egypt’s stances in supporting Arab countries and preserving regional security and stability, recalling with appreciation Egypt’s unflinching support to Bahrain in all measures taken to maintain its security and stability. He also commended the stances of ETUF in supporting Bahrain at regional and international labour gatherings, stressing the need to foster cooperation between the trade unions in the Arab countries to maximise achievements and fast-track development. On his part, the ETUF Chairman paid tribute to HRH the Premier for his keenness on bolstering bilateral relations, lauding his wisdom in handling various issues. He lauded distinguished and deep-rooted historic relations and their perpetual growth at all levels, praising Bahrain’s development and pioneering experience in the labour field.
