HRH Princess Sabeeka hails Bahraini women

Manama, Sept.22 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) hailed the appointment of Afaf Zinelabidine as Oil and Gas Holding Company (Nogaholding) director-general for administrative and financial affairs. She sent a cable of thanks to the Minister of Oil Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, in which she hailed the high-level appointment, commending Nogaholding for creating a favourable environment for Bahraini women to thrive in the vital energy sector. She commended the ministry-led initiatives and policies which comply with comprehensive development requirements, stressing the Government’s national programmes and plans to promote gender equal opportunities and create a favourable work environment that help Bahraini women to enhance their academic and professional status. HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa expressed confidence in the ability of Bahraini women working in the sector of oil, gas and petrochemicals, stressing keenness on enhancing the rate of participation of Bahraini women, in the backdrop of recent oil discoveries which were announced by His Majesty the King. She extended deepest congratulations to Afaf Zinelabidine on her high-profile appointment, wishing her success in her duties to contribute to further developing national cadres and drawing up plans that translated the constitutional commitments that support Bahrain women’s participation and empowerment.
