Hungary hosts “Azerbaijan Evening”

Budapest, November 10 (AzerTAc). “Azerbaijan Evening” as part of the events marking the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Azerbaijan`s independence took part in Budapest. The event was co-organized by Azerbaijan Embassy in Hungary, the Hungarian Geographical Society and the Society of Hungarian Engineers and Builders. The event brought together more than 100 participants, as well as members of societies, prominent Hungarian scientists, representatives of Azerbaijani Diaspora and employees of the Embassy. Adviser of Azerbaijan Embassy Imanov provided information on Azerbaijan`s history, economy, culture, geography, current socio-political situation and the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Member of the Hungarian Geographical Society, traveler, journalist and photographer Gogosh Norbert and scientist Ms Borbola Obrushanska delivered speeches on Azerbaijan in the event. A delegation of the Hungarian Geographical Society will visit Azerbaijan in summer the next year. Books and booklets on Azerbaijan in the Hungarian languages were on display in the exhibition organized by Azerbaijan Embassy.
