India eager to invest in Iran's Chabahar

Tehran, Sept 2, IRNA – Managing Director of National Petrochemical Industries Company Abbass Sheri Moqaddam said on Wednesday that due to very short distance between Chabahar and Gujarat Port, Indians are interested in investment in Chabahar. Sheri Moqaddaam told IRNA that one the reasons Indians have delayed investment is failure to announce definite price for gas for consumption in the petrochemical sector. He said Indians have thus far entered talks with Iranians on the issue, but failed to reach a clear result. 'It seems Indians are after very cheep gas, waiting for a very good offer,' he added.
