Indian, Thai armed forces to continue working together for mutual benefits

BANGKOK, September 9 (TNA) - The Royal Thai Armed Forces are pleased to continue working together with the Indian armed forces to concretly sustain mutual benefits. Thai Supreme Commander General Worapong Sa-nganetra declared the stance while welcoming Indian Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee and Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha and his entourage, including his wife, at the Royal Thai Armed Forces headquarters in Bangkok this week. The Indian and Thai armed forces have had sound and long standing relations, with mutual support for bilateral cooperation in several areas, including education, joint military exercises, national defence industry and anti-terrorism, as well as technical and security shares, exchange visits of naval fleets and joint patrols of Indian and Thai naval forces. The Indian Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee and Air Chief officially visited Thailand during September 6-7 as the guest of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, aimed to further strengthen relations between the Indian and the Thai armed forces. The Indian Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee and Air Chief then left for Vietnam for his second leg of his Southeast Asian tour this week. (TNA)
