Indonesia to Become Model Of Technological Transfers To Asean

Jakarta, March 6 (Antara) - Indonesia can set an example in the transfer of technology program for ASEAN representatives in the group "Promoting Innovation and Technology-ASEAN" (PIT-ASEAN), an official noted. "As part of the Indonesian Science and Technology Community (MITI), we have been appointed as the representative of the Technology Transfer Office to cooperate with Steinbeis Transfer Center, Germany," MITI Manager of Research and Data Analysis Deslaknyo Wisnu Hanjagi said here on Friday. Hanjagi explained that a delegation will visit the Alam Sutra MITI headquarters in Serpong, Tangerang, next Wednesday to promote the process of technology transfers, conducted by MITI, for the development of cancer research at C-Tech Labs EdWar Technology research center. He said the visit is part of a PIT-ASEAN networking event in Jakarta that will be organized by GFA Consulting Group of Germany as a consultant institution appointed by GIZ Deutsche Gesellscahft Fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit for the ASEAN Pilot Project Scheme (PPS). The PPS-ASEAN is part of a series of PIT activities being conducted by GIZ in an effort to promote the national innovation system. In addition, the PPS-ASEAN has been designed to provide grants to ASEAN countries that have ideas about innovation and technological development.
