Indonesia, US To Hold Discussion On ILRS At Iswahjudi Airbase

MAGETAN, E Java, April 25 (Antara) - Indonesia and the United States are set to hold a discussion on Integrated Logistics Support Review (ILSR) at the Iswahjudi Airbase in Magetan, East Java, from Wednesday to Friday. The three-day discussion will focus on cooperation related to the logistics of F-16s granted by the US to Indonesia on Feb 28, spokesman for the airbase Major Sus Hamdi Londong said on Tuesday. The Indonesian delegation to the meeting will be led by Colonel Tek Iwan Agung of the Air Force in the capacity as a chief project, while the 17-member US delegation will be led by Faith Turner, he stated. The meeting is part of F-16 C/D grant from the US to Indonesia, he noted. Indonesia and the US signed a cooperation contract related to flexible manufacturing system (FMS) on Jan 17, 2012. In total, the airbase has received 24 F-16 C/D from the US. The F-16s were sent to the airbase in seven batches, he remarked. The meeting, in the presence of representatives of Lockheed Martin, will also discuss programs to update eMLU/Falcon Star to monitor the obstacles for shipment of mod kit and the status of Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) in the form of classified item.
