Indonesian Air Force Chief Of Staff Awarded RMAF's Honorary Flight Wing

KUALA LUMPUR, May 29 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) awarded its Honorary Flight Wing to the Indonesian Air Force Chief of Staff, Agus Supriatna, Thursday. RMAF chief, Roslan Saad presented the award at a ceremony which was witnessed by senior RMAF officers and Indonesia Air Force delegates. In a statement Thursday, RMAF said the award was to honour and acknowledge Agus's contribution to the force during his tenure. It would also forge closer bilateral relations between both countries and the bond between the two air forces, it added. Agus was appointed on Jan 2 as the 20th Indonesian Air Force Chief of Staff, succeeding Ida Bagus Putu Dunia. He had held prominent positions in the Indonesian Air Force and Armed Forces including as commander of No 102 Education Squadron at Adi Sutjipto Air Base, Chief of Staff of No 1 Air Operation Command and Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Armed Forces. --BERNAMA
