Indonesian Diaspora Set Up Commitee For Summit In Tokyo

JAKARTA, Jan 11 (Antara) - Representatives of Indonesians stayed overseas have set up a committee for the Indonesia Diaspora Summit 2018 hosted in Tokyo, Japan, an official said in a written statement received by Antara here on Wednesday. The committee was led by Ananda Setiyo Ivananto, the President of Indonesia-Japan Strategic Relation Alliance, and supported by a prominent businessman, Fikar Rizky Mohammad, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jakarta-based PT Bintang Angkasa Berjaya that owns an entertainment news "ceknricek.com". The summit, according to Muhammad, is aimed to promote Indonesia to the communities worldwide. The summit also has a mission to bring the good news from Indonesia to the audiences around the world. The positive coverage on Indonesia, according to the committee, remains important, in order to clarify some confusions and false news on the country. Meanwhile, following the committee formation, the chief along with Mohammad directly met with an Indonesian billionaire in Japan, Mahmudi Fukumoto who owns multiples companies for financial support. After the meeting, the chief said that Fukumoto have lauded the plan and expressed his commitment to back the summit. During the visit to Japan, the committee, represented by the chief, Ivananto and Muhammad continued their trips to Fukuoka and Beppu to consolidate with the Indonesian diaspora community for the summit. In Fukuoka, the committee visited the Ritsumeikan Asia-Pacific University (APU), because numbers of Indonesian scholars are studying in the college. "The committee talked with Hafiz, the APU-Indonesia Cabinet chief about the Diaspora Summit this year in Tokyo," Ivananto remarked. During the meeting, the two parties also discussed on hosting a fund-raising for the R-80 aircraft manufactured by Indonesia. Apart of Fukuoka and Beppu, the committee also visited Kurume to meet with Hirohide Nakamura, and the two talked about setting up a secretariat of the Indonesia Diaspora Summit 2018.
