Indonesian Foreign Minister Visits Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 26 (Bernama) -- Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi (left) is to make a two-day official visit to Malaysia beginning Sunday prior to attending the ASEAN Foreign Ministers Retreat in Kota Kinabalu on Jan 27 and 28, the Malaysian Foreign Ministry said. It said in a statement that this would be Retno's first visit to Malaysia following his appointment as the Indonesian foreign minister on Oct 27 last year. Retno is scheduled to have a meeting with his Malaysian counterpart Anifah Aman (right) in Kota Kinabalu, it said. "The meeting will give the two ministers the opportunity to discuss bilateral and regional issues in the interest of stepping up bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields," the ministry said.
