Indonesians Expected To Enjoy New Facilities At Next Hajj Season

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Feb 22 (Antara) - Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Mohammed Salih Bentin, welcome Indonesian people who wish to conduct hajj and umrah pilgrimage in Mecca and Saudi Arabia has provided new highly standardized facilities and infrastructures for them. The Saudi government praised the Indonesian government which has always managed to organize the sending of a big number of people from different areas in the archipelagic country to perform hajj and umrah to Mecca every year, the minister said here, Wednesday. "I am proud that the Indonesian hajj and umrah pilgrimage to Mecca is well organized as they come from different islands and areas in the country," the minister told visiting Indonesian journalists who are in Riyadh to meet the invitation of the Saudi government. According to the minister, Indonesia wins the biggest number of hall pilgrims to Mecca as the country with more than 250 million people has the largest number of Muslims in the world. He also hoped that the people worldwide understand that the Saudi government is now making every effort to make sure that all services are available for the pilgrims who perform the spiritual activities only for the sake of Allah (God). "As these are special prayers, we have services to make hajj and umrah pilgrims enjoy their ritual trips with facilities using high technology to make them easy to find information they need," he said, adding that they will also get easy access from airports to places of pilgrimage. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the custodian of the Two holly Mosques king Salman bin Abdulaziz has conducted the largest expansion of the Grand Mosque ever in Islamic history so it can gradually increase the number of hajj and umrah pilgrims every year. The organization of hajj and umrah along with services to pilgrims is one of the top priorities of the Saudi Arabian Government and a continuing historical role for Muslims all over the world. A Saudi source at the Minister of Culture and Information said replying a question by Antara recently. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdelaziz, has made every effort to serve hajj and umrah pilgrims from various countries so they can conduct their worship peacefully.
