Industry Minister receives IISS Director-General and Chief Executive

Manama, Feb. 24 (BNA): Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister, Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, received here today the Director-General and Chief Executive of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), Dr. John Chipman. They reviewed economic and development issues, as well as ways to enhance cooperation between the Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry and IISS, stressing the importance of such meetings in following up on global economic developments, and discussing the mechanisms to develop relations and achieving common aspirations. The minister pointed out that the Government of Bahrain strives to develop economic sectors and update the relevant legislation and system in order to keep pace with the regional and international developments. He added that the government attaches great importance to boosting the investment sector in a manner that is consistent with its strategy and future visions.
