Industry Ministry honoured

Manama, Nov 26 (BNA): Business Licensing Integrated System (BLIS) project has qualified the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism to win the award for best government services provided for the business sector. Industry minister Zayed Al-Zayani received the award at the opening session of the GCC e-Government Forum and Exhibition 2015. The minister stressed keenness to provide more facilitations for the business sector in Bahrain. He noted that the BLIS is a national strategic project, where government entities in relation to commercial licenses, with the support of the e-Government Authority and Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), participate in developing an advanced electronic system for the issuance of commercial licenses, which will be linked with relevant government electronic systems. He added that all procedures will be reconsidered for further facilitation to be provided to promote Bahrain's international standing and to conform with Bahrain economic vision2030.
