Information minister chairs BIPD meeting

Manama, May 27 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi chaired the Bahrain Institute of Political Development (BIPD) board of trustees’ meeting. BIPD Acting Executive Director highlighted works and achievements during the first half of this year. The board of Trustees was briefed also about the plans and programmes lined-up for 2018.  The minister commended the programmes which target various social categories to enhance political awareness and consolidate the democratic process which was launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.  He stressed the importance of stepping up efforts of the think tank in the coming period to promote the principles of sound democratic practices.
