INJAZ Bahrain builds momentum

Manama, Sept. 1 (BNA): INJAZ Bahrain is looking to build on the momentum of a record-breaking 2015/2016 academic year in terms of number of programmes delivered and students reached, as well as other performance indicators. The organization, which focuses on economic empowerment of the youth, received BD 57,300 worth of donations and in-kind support last year from its corporate partners: GPIC, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, Al-Salam Bank, Banagas, Bapco, Ithmaar Bank, Gulf Air, Khaleeji Commercial Bank, National Bank of Bahrain, and Microsoft. The support helped INJAZ Bahrain increase the total number of volunteers to 715 volunteers who were instrumental in reaching over 20,000 students in 149 primary, intermediate, and secondary government and private schools, as well as 8 universities over the course of the academic calendar year. Commenting on the achievements, Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Executive Director of INJAZ Bahrain, said: "As we approach INJAZ Bahrain’s 10th anniversary celebration later this year, the organization’s position has never been stronger. The support we receive from our supporters continues to underpin our continued success, and we look forward to another decade of preparing a new generation of young Bahrainis to thrive in a global economy and be active contributors to building the nation’s future." To maintain the momentum, the organization introduced special summer classes for the first time at Batelco Club, in addition to actively participating in various workshops at Youth City 2030, Royal Charity Organization, Gifted Students Center, Salman Cultural Center, Al-Eslah Society, and Quran-learning centers. Over 300 students benefited from these summer activities. INJAZ Bahrain was also recognized earlier this year by its regional office INJAZ Al-Arab for outstanding achievements in the areas of compliance, quality, and collaboration.
