Int’l media to attend opening ceremony of 20th Press Expo

Tehran, Nov 8, IRNA – The opening ceremony of the 20th Press, News Agencies and Websites Exhibition will start Saturday evening with participation of Iranian officials as well as state-run and international media. Officials from 31 international media including 25 TV channels, four news agencies and websites, one radio channel and a magazine will be among the participants in the cultural event’s opening ceremony. Besides this, some TV channels namely Germany’s ZDF, Turkey’s Anatolia, Qatar’s Al Jazeera, Lebanon’s Al-Manar, China’s Phoenix, Russia’s ITAR-TASS news agency, AFP, AP and Time magazine, as well as China’s CRI radio channel are to attend the event. The media of 13 countries including Germany, the USA, Russia, France, China, Lebanon, Turkey, UAE, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Qatar are among other applicants. Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati and a group of mediapersons will also attend the event. The opening ceremony of the event is being held at Imam Khomeini’s Mosalla (Prayers Ground). The exhibition will run until November 14./end
