Integrating women's needs in national programmes spotlighted

Manama, May 25 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), deputised today SCW Deputy President Dr. Shaikha Mariam bint Hassan Al Khalifa to chair the meeting of the national committee in charge of following up on the implementation of the national model to integrate women's needs in the government work programme. The SCW Deputy President praised the efforts of the national committee members, stressing the need to build on positive practices in women empowerment. She also stressed SCW keenness to support and follow up on the national efforts to integrate women's needs in national programmes. SCW Secretary General Hala Al Ansari asserted the constant readiness of SCW to provide full support to the efforts made in integrating women's needs in development and promoting successful practices in this regard. She also lauded positive response of the private sector and its effect on the kingdom's performance.
