Inter-Korean Red Cross Talks Held

Mt Kumgang Resort, June 22 (KCNA) -- Inter-Korean Red Cross talks for implementing the historic Panmunjom Declaration were held in Mt Kumgang on Friday. Present there were a north side delegation led by Pak Yong Il, vice-chairman of the DPRK Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country, and a south side delegation with Pak Kyong So, president of the "Korea National Red Cross", as chief delegate. At the talks both sides agreed to have the reunion of separated families and relatives from the north and the south in Mt Kumgang resort on the occasion of August 15 and discussed the practical issues for the preparations of the reunion. And they agreed to keep on having necessary Red Cross talks and working contacts in the future. A joint press release was adopted and made public at the talks. -0-
