Interior Minister receives call from Kuwaiti counterpart

Manama, Aug. 29 (BNA): Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa has received a telephone call from the Kuwaiti Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Shaikh Mohammed Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al Sabah. The Kuwaiti minister condemned the cowardly terror act that occurred in the village of Karranah, and led to the martyrdom of a policeman and injury of seven security personnel, as well as innocent civilians. Shaikh Mohammed Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al Sabah stressed that the terror incident contravenes the precepts of Islam and is rejected by all divine religions and international norms, reiterating Kuwait’s full-fledged support to the Kingdom of Bahrain in facing everything that poses a threat to its security and stability. He also called for concerted regional and international efforts to combat terrorism. He extended profound condolences to the family of the martyr, praying to Allah Almighty to rest the soul of the deceased in eternal peace, bless his relatives with patience, grant the wounded speedy recovery and safeguard Bahrain and its people against all evils.
