Internal train route axed in Azerbaijan

Baku, Azerbaijan, Nov. 19 By Emin Ismayilov - Trend: Azerbaijan Railways LTD has decided to discontinue Baku-Gazakh-Baku (No. 662-661) train service route, the company's message said on Nov. 19. According to the message, the journey will be carried out via the Baku-Gazakh-Agstafa-Baku route after the extension of another train route. The train will include 10 cars and additional cars can be attached in the case of increased passenger traffic. The trains will travel for the last time through the old route from Baku in Nov. 30. The train, travelling via the new Baku-Gazakh-Agstafa-Baku route, will leave the capital at 22:05 local time and return from Gazakh to Baku at 19:05 the next day. It is also planned to use a special local rate at the Baku-Boyuk Kasik-Baku section of the railway in order to increase passenger traffic, the report said.
