International companies' contributions hailed

Manama, Mar. 4. (BNA) – Industry and Commerce Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani has affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain enjoys an investor-friendly environment to global investors, adding that Bahrain welcomes projects of added value to the national economy. The minister paid a visit to the Singaporean MTQ Oilfield Services Corporation, based in Bahrain for its operations in the Middle East and met its Chairman Kuah Kok Kim. He said that the government appreciates the corporation's contribution to the national economy and will spare no effort to provide all the requirements that would raise the productivity of these companies and their expansion in exporting to foreign markets. He added that this goal is a top priority for the government and economic vision 2030. MTQ Bahrain was established in Salman Industrial City at Bahrain International Investment Park in August 2009, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of MTQ Corporation Limited, and listed on Singapore stock exchange (SGX). MTQ Corporation Limited is a premier integrated engineering solutions provider that specializes in two major business segments: Oilfield Engineering and Engine Systems. The minister expressed his delight for such ambitious contributions, efforts and plans, which serve the Kingdom's economy. Kim expressed sincere appreciation for the support of the Bahraini government, represented in facilitates procedures by commercial and investment enterprises. He highlight MTQ future orientations on the short and long run, aiming at promoting its investment in Bahrain and making it MTQ headquarter. He affirmed that MTQ branch in Bahrain was established to serve the existing oil companies in the region, expressing hope that the Bahrainisation will increase, since MTQ policy is to run companies with citizens of the same country.
