International Embassies Market to be held on Tuesday

Manama, Apr. 21 (BNA): Under the patronage of the wife of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Ali Al Khalifa, and in the presence of Her Highness Shaikha Lulwa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, the International Embassies Market will kick off on Tuesday. Up to 32 Arab and foreign embassies are expected to take part in the event to be held at the Children & Mothers Welfare Society in Isa Town. The Society will also host a ceremony, "Customs and Traditions of Bahrain" under the patronage of Her Highness Shaikha Lulwa. Several folkloric performances and songs expressing the authenticity and culture of the people of Bahrain will be shown at the event. Guests will also be treated for a dinner in support the kindergartens and nurseries of the society. On the occasion, Shaikha Hind bint Salman Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Children & Mothers Welfare Society, extended her thanks to Her Highness Shaikha Hessa and Her Highness Shaikha Lulwa for their constant support to the Society and sponsorship of the activities. Such events are a source of pride for all society members as well as a catalyst to continue the path of good and relief that the Kingdom is witnessing under its wise leadership. She also praised the keenness of Her Highness Shaikha Lulwa to sponsor and attend the activities of the society, which reflects the extent of the interest of her Highness in supporting social and charitable work, noting that Her Highness is known for her initiatives to support every action that carries humanitarian and charitable dimensions. The Society Chairperson stressed that the Children & Mothers Welfare Society, through its activities, sheds light on the values of coexistence, openness and pluralism enjoyed by Bahraini society in the context of a unique harmony felt by all who live in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The International Embassies Market is an annual event to strengthen cooperation ties between Bahrain and various sisterly and friendly countries, boost cultural exchange and enhance the spirit of cooperation among different civilisations, she added. She went on to explain that the "Customs and Traditions of Bahrain" event comes to consolidate the values of the Bahraini authentic traditions and transfer to upcoming generations, especially as Bahrain is rich in heritage that needs to be preserved.
