International Monetary Fund Executive Director visits Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district

Aghdam, February 25, AZERTAC Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for Azerbaijan Piotr Trabinski has visited the liberated Aghdam city of Azerbaijan. AZERTAC’s regional correspondent reports that, Piotr Trabinski was accompanied by representatives of the IMF and Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Finances. During the visit, the visitors witnessed the atrocities committed by the Armenian Armed Forces, as well as familiarized himself with the restoration and construction work carried out by Azerbaijan after the liberation of the city from the occupation. The IMF delegation then visited the Aghdam Industrial Park, the foundation of which was laid by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva on February 13, 2022. They familiarized themselves with conditions created for business and entrepreneurs in the Industrial Park. The members of the IMF delegation also familiarized themselves with the vandalism committed by Armenians as they saw the ruins of the Imarat Complex, the Bread Museum, the Drama Theater and the Juma Mosque in Aghdam. As part of the trip, the delegation also visited the special representative office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories of the Karabakh Economic Region. Special Representative of the Azerbaijani President in the liberated territories of the Karabakh Economic Region Emin Huseynov informed the delegation of the construction work as well as projects carried out within the framework of the master plan of Aghdam city.
