Int'l Handicrafts,Traditional Arts Exhibition Opens In Isfahan

Isfahan, Oct 8, IRNA – On the eve of an international meeting on Intangible Cultural Heritage, International Exhibition of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts opened here on Wednesday. In the opening ceremony, Director General of Isfahan province Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Fereydoun Allahyari told IRNA that handicrafts and traditional arts, in addition to their artistic aspects, are among important economic capacities. Referring to importance and role of handicrafts and traditional arts in intangible cultural heritage, Allahyari said that by holding such exhibitions, those who work in this area can have a better planning for future. He added that all provinces as well as three countries of Brazil, China and Spain are attending the fair. The exhibition will be open until October 12, 2014./end
