Intl. Literature Festival opens in Turkey

ANKARA, Oct. 22 (MNA) – Iran is attending the first International Literature Festival opened in Black Sea coastal city of Trabzon in northeast Turkey on Tuesday. More than 50 authors, poets and artists from the host country, Iran, Russia and Georgia are attending this 6-day event and will be introducing their country’s literature in four towns around Trabzon. While delivering a speech in the gathering, Iranian Consul General in Trabzon Masoud Nohasi said the festival would greatly contribute to the deepening of friendship among the participating nations. Ayoub Shahbazi, Iranian poet and writer and Ahmad Ebadi, a literature professor at University of Tabriz are among the Iranian participants of this festival.
