Int'l tourists flock for "cold test" on mountain tops in Thai Northeast

THAILAND'S NORTHEAST, November 16 (TNA) - Mountain tops in the Thai Northeast begin to welcome throngs of international tourists who want to, enthusiastically, have a personal touch on the sea of fog on the cold highlands amid the approaching winter. In Loei, groups of international tourists are travelling to view the sea of fog at the Phu Bo Bid Forest Park in Muang District, where lowest temperatures were measured at 21-24 degrees Celsius and highest temperatures at 31-33 degree Celsius on Wednesday morning. In Phu Ruea District, the lowest temperature was measured at about 13 degrees Celsius at the Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary and the Phu Ruea National Park and 15 degrees Celsius at the Phu Kradueng National Park on Wednesday morning. In the northeastern Nong Khai Province, bordering Laos, a new scenic point on a cliff in Baan Dongtong of Sangkhom District, named Pha Chom Mok, is also attracting groups of international tourists. After the sea of mist in the morning, the cliff charmingly overlooks a farming village in the valley that remains unknown to most tourists. (TNA)
