Int'l visitors invited to join Loy Krathong activities at Thailand's Suvarnabhumi Airport

BANGKOK, November 1 (TNA) - Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) invites international passengers and the general public to join Loy Krathong 2017 activities at the country's main Suvarnabhumi International Airport during November 1-3 to promote the traditional Thai culture and the image of the Suvarnabhumi Airport as the "Airport of Smile" in line with the Thai Kingdom's image as the "Land of Smile". According to an AOT announcement, released on October 31, international passengers and the general public are welcome to join the three-day Loy Krathong activities at the outbound terminal on the 4th floor of the Suvarnbhumi International Airport, Gate 3-4. During the cultural activities, international passengers and the general public are invited to make krathongs themselves and to be dressed in traditional Thai costumes and clothes, including loincloth and sarong, prepared for them by the Suvarnabhumi Airport, before floating their krathongs in an imitated pier with the charming Temple of the Dawn and the Chao Phraya River being put as its background. Besides, exhibitions on Thailand's annual Loy Krathong Festival and demonstrations on the making of beautiful krathong rafts in various forms and styles are also organized as part of the ongoing activities at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport not only to impress international passengers and the general public, but also to promote the airport's image as the "Airport of Smile".
