Iran’s New Envoy To UN Vienna Office Submits Credentials

Vienna, Sept 17, IRNA – Iran’s new Ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Vienna Reza Najafi submitted his credentials to Director General of the UN Vienna office Yuri Fedotov. During the meeting, Najafi said the Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to boost bilateral cooperation in all areas particularly in the field of fight against drugs. Fedotov is also Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Praising Iran’s constructive and influential role in fight against drugs, Fedotov lauded Tehran's leading role in regional cooperation in the Central Asia and Persian Gulf regions. He voiced his agency's readiness to further boost all-out cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran./end
