Iran’s Red Elephant to go on stage at Japan Intl. Theater fest.

TEHRAN, Feb. 16 (MNA) – Morteza Mirmontazemi’s play Red Elephant will go on stage at Japan’s International Theater Festival. This is the seventh time Mirmontazemi stages a play in an international festival. “Red Elephant is a sequel to Frequency in which human’s loneliness, as the bitterest result of war, is put on display. Now if we wish to live in peace we must respect others’ rights but we do the exact opposite,” explained Mirmontazemi about his play written by Abbas Jamali. Besides Red Elephant, Mirmontazemi’s Clouds and P2, as well as two short films titled Silent and On Branches will be staged/screened and discussed at the festival. 8 other plays from other countries will go on stage at Japan’s International Theater Festival, each with four number of performances. Red Elephant is Iran’s only representative at the festival.
