Iran-Afghanistan Sign Academic MoU

Kabul, March 18, IRNA -- Head of the Islamic Republic News Agencyˈs News College in Khorassan Razavi province Reza Amir Jahanshahi and Head of News College of Kabul University Vahid Gharval in a meeting discussed the expansion of bilateral media ties and also signed MoUs. ˈThere is a bright landscape of mutual cooperation between the two countries in different sectors, including academic field,ˈ Jahaanshahi said. Jahanshahi underlined that cooperation in media research field and research services as well as dispatch of professor from Iran are among the clauses of MoUs. Iranian officials have always underlined that Tehran will maintain its support for the reconstruction and development process in Afghanistan, specially after the withdrawal of foreign forces from the war-torn country. Iran is one of the most important donors to Afghanistan which has kept its promises to help to the reconstruction of the war-hit country. Iran has built some roads, power transmission lines, and border stations, among the other infrastructure projects which would better link the two nations. Iran has also contributed more than $50 million annually to Afghan anti-narcotics efforts in the last several years./end
