Iran-Afghanistan Sign Agreement To Fight Drug Trafficking

Tehran, May 22, IRNA - - Iran and Afghanistan on Monday signed an agreement to fight drug trafficking. The agreement was signed by Iranian Police Chief in charge of Drug Control Headquarters Ali Mo'ayyedi and Afghan Deputy Interior Minister Brigadier General Bazmohammad Ahmadi. Both countries, based on the agreement, will establish a center for training sniffer dogs, improving and upgrading Afghanistan Police Department's Library and launching a data bank for the Department. The agreement also lets Afghanistan Police Department provide Iranian Police with news and information on networks of drug traffickers in order to ensure success of their anti-drug campaign./end
