Iran, Azerbaijan to expand media cooperation

Baku, May 1, IRNA – Iranˈs Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pakaeen and Azeri parliament member and director of Azerbaijan Daily on Wednesday called for expansion of media cooperation. Speaking after a tour of building of Azerbaijan Daily, Pakaeen underlined influential role of Iranian and Azeri media in further expansion of bilateral relations. He referred to the activity of Azeri media in Tehran and said it indicates serious determination of the two countries to expand media cooperation. He said media cooperation between the two sides will pave the ground for mutual political cooperation. ˈUnfortunately, aliens resort to third parties and through media controversies and gossips try to mar bilateral relations.ˈ If the committed media of the two countries build solid links, such negative activities will not be successful, he added. The Azeri offcial said that Azerbaijan Daily which is the official publication of Azeri parliament, has a close watch on developments in Iran, getting happy with the Iranian progress and welfare. He noted that Azeri people follow Iran developments with special interests. He said that Azerbaijan Daily is ready to exchange information and news with Iranian media. end
