Iran Boasts A Lot Of Cultural, Artistic Achievements: Iraqi Official

Tehran, Feb 4, IRNA – Head of the Shia Waqf Diwan in Iraq Saleh Al-Heidari said on Monday that Iran is a rich country in terms of cultural and artistic achievements, calling for transfer Iranian experience to his country. In a meeting with the Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Mohammad Hosseini, he called for expansion of cultural and artistic ties. Referring to numerous cultural common grounds between Iran and Iraq, he contended that culture serves as a strong means to develop bonds between the two nations. AL-Heidari hailed Iranˈs support for his country and said that the Iraqi nation appreciates Iranian assistance. Despite sanctions and threats by the West against Iran, Iran has managed to make remarkable achievements in various fields through reliance on domestic experts, he said. Hosseini, for his part, expressed pleasure with exit of the alien forces from Iraq and appreciated Iraq for supporting the Syrian and Bahraini people. He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to make available its experience to Iraq. Hosseini further noted that Iran organizes various cultural and artistic festivals and the Iraqi experts can actively take part.
