Iran condoles on demise of Saudi King Abdullah

Tehran, January 23, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry on Friday issued a communiqué, condoling on demise of Saudi monarch Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz with the Saudi government and nation. Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham has in the message reiterated that Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will participate in the funeral ritual of the late Saudi monarch that will be held on Friday. Malik Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz died early Friday morning in a Riyadh hospital after a long illness. According to the Saudi media, Emir Salman Bin Abdul Aziz is the new Saudi monarch and the late King Abdullah's step brother Emir Abdul Aziz is the new Saudi crown prince.
