Iran Consulate Inaugurates Cultural Exhibition At Insight Int’l School In Hyderabad

New Delhi, April 5, IRNA -- A cultural exhibition to showcase Iranian culture and history inaugurated Thursday at Insight International School in Shaikpet area of Hyderabad, capital city of the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The two-day exhibition is being organized in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Senior Counsel of Iranian Consulate at Hyderabad Ali Paryad, who inaugurated the exhibition, emphasized the importance of education quoting Holy Prophet Mohammed (P) who advised the Muslims to “Seek knowledge even if you have to travel to China.” He added that the late Imam Khomeini (P), too, had said that teaching is a profession of prophets (P). “India-Iran relations go back to thousands of years in the history and hence we have lots of commonalities in our both cultures, especially in the Islamic culture,” noted Counsel Paryad, the TwoCircles.net reported. “Although this Exhibition of the Iranian Historical Monuments and Iranian Culture equal visiting the country physically but by seeing these beautiful pictures of the nature of another part of the world you will feel as if you have visited it in person. “Knowledge is referred to as light in the heart. Once your heart gets the light of knowledge your body will also get enlightened,” he said while also quoting a few verses on education and knowledge from the poems of renowned Iranian poets. The exhibition displays the glorious monuments, vibrant culture and amazing natural beauty of Iran for two days; April 3 and 4. In addition, a documentary on the Islamic Republic of Iran and award-winning childrenˈs movies are scheduled to be screened. Highlighting the importance of cultural exhibitions, Insight International School CEO Mansoor Kaleem said that the students need exposure to different cultures across the globe. “We look at Iran as a country sharing some very important ideals and ethos that Insight believes in,” he added. In order to offer exposure of different cultures to students, Insight Principal Ms. Syeda Khadeja said the school will collaborate with different embassies and consulates. “International exposure, awareness and understanding of different cultures across the world are among the core elements of Insight International Schoolˈs philosophy and approach,” she noted.
