Iran dispatches medicine to Iraq

Tehran, Nov 30, IRNA - Iran's Red Crescent Society has already dispatched humanitarian aid weighing 22 tons in a bid to help Iraqi government to hold the Arbaeen ceremony in Iraq. Ali Marashi an official at the Red Crescent Society, in an interview with IRNA, noted that the society aims to send 180 physicians and nurses to render services to pilgrims of holy shrines in Iraq. Iran's Red Crescent Society plays a key role in providing medical support to pilgrims in Iraq, the official added. Several medical teams have been already dispatched to the holy city of Karbala, Marashi said, adding that the teams comprise specialists, nurses and medics./end
