Iran expresses condolence over South Korean ferry disaster

Tehran, April 19, IRNA – Iran expressed condolences to South Korean authorities and people over the ferry disaster. Iranˈs Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman, Marzieh Afkham in a statement released on Friday, noted that Tehran extends condolences to the families of the victims and expresses solidarity with those of missing people. A South Korean ferry ˈSewolˈ with more than 459 people on board, mostly high school students capsized and sank off Jindo Island on the countryˈs southwest coast on Wednesday. The disaster, that could be South Koreaˈs worst maritime accident, killed at least four persons and 291 people were still missing.
