Iran heralds unity among Muslims: Mauritanian politician

Algiers, Nov 26, IRNA – Chairman of Mauritanian Welfare Party says that it is critical for Muslims to stay united and Iran has taken various measures toward Muslims’ unity. “The region is currently facing some kind of schism and on the other side, Zionists are arranging an unprecedented penetration into the region, thus, the Muslims need to unite more than any other time,” said Mohammad Valad Fal in an exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Sunday. “Iran has taken many steps like holding conferences and meetings in order to bring back solidarity to the Muslims, but some Arab countries, especially the Arab states of the Persian Gulf, are going toward the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime, the Muslims’ number one enemy,” he added. He said that Mauritanians, through media outlets, follow the International Islamic Unity Conference, which is underway in the Iranian capital city of Tehran on Novmeber 24-26, and thanked Iran’s honorable stance in the Islamic world’s issues. “It’s not a secret that Iran supports resistance groups in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, which has made US and its allies to impose sanctions on Iran,” he added. “Mauritanian people think that if the Islamic countries unite with African and Latin American countries, they can better fight the enemies,” he stressed. He urged Muslims to utilize all the capabilities available in the Islamic world, saying, “Muslims should avoid disputes because it enables enemies to dominate the Islamic Ummah.” Follow us on Twitter @IrnaEnglish
