Iran to hold confab on 'Promotion of Science in Museums, Cultural Centers'

Tehran, Nov 9, IRNA –Tehran will host the 4th edition of the conference on 'Promotion of Science in Museums and Cultural Centers' from Nov.18-20, 2014, said an official. Bakhtiar Mahmoud-pour, secretary of the conference, added that the 'Science and Technology Museum of Islamic Republic of Iran (IRSTM) holds the conference every year aimed to observe the Science Week.' The event will include three main topics including ‘Culture, cultural institutes and promotion of science’, ‘Methods and the outcomes of promoting science in institutes and cultural centers’ as well as ‘Cultural-scientific policymaking and promotion of science’. “A total number of 55 scientific articles have been submitted to the event’s secretariat of which 15 will be chosen and delivered as a speech and 25 other will be presented as posters during the conference,” Mahmoud-pour added. The conference, to be held in the University of Tehran, will be attended by President of the International Committee for Museums and Collections of Science and Technology (CIMUSET) Jytt Thorndahl./end
